About

All our love of horses started at a young age. I wasn’t able to have a horse or regular lessons when I was younger, but both of my daughters have had many lessons over the years and I started again in my 30’s.

I’ve assisted my girls through pony clubs both centre and branch and helped my oldest daughter pass her BHS stages and whilst doing them myself also mastered round penning and natural horsemanship skills along with doing horse Psychology, Equine First Aid and Horse Management  courses online during lockdown during the COVID pandemic of 2020/21.

We have had horses on loan and our own horses in livery on both small and large yards, non of which suited us and the way we wanted to care for our horses. So last year we managed to purchase our own 4 acres locally. We planned it in detail to how many stables we would like, what storage and facilities we wanted and where and what types of paddocks we wanted.

The plans changed over the months as we added extra things like a round pen a much needed road due to the mud and getting cars stuck, an extra pony and as the budget and weather allowed.

4 years on and with mega thanks to my husband and his helpful friends we have it almost finished.

This blog is all about how we do things after finding our way over the years it’s in now way telling anyone ‘how to’ or advice just to share our ways in the blog and give ideas.

We hope you enjoy.
