Reason for new home
Sadly my 9 year old daughter Ellie has become a nervous rider as she advanced and had falls off Harley, unfortunately the last time she rode her, she fell and broke her arm. This really knocked her to the point of giving up riding.
Ellie also drove, but although we spent a lot of time and money getting Harley broken to drive, we could tell it wasn’t her sport of choice.
Harley is an extremely fit and competent pony, who loves to work and go to pony club, she particularly loves jumping, something Ellie wasn’t keen on.
We adore her, but knew she would not be happy as simply a field ornament and we didn’t know anyone small enough to ride her so she was put out for loan, however the perfect family came along.
A mum of another 9 year old girl, a lovely lady came along to have a trial ride on Harley as they were looking to step up from a riding school pony, wanting to join pony club. This was just what Harley needed, they were loving and kind and had an amazing placement for Harley to go to and were interested long term as there were other, younger children in the family who could take over if and when she was outgrown, so a sale was agreed. It was heartbreaking in one way saying goodbye, but we were welcome to visit and also knew that Harley would be well taken care of and most importantly LOVED.
