This is our best summer turn out paddock looking more like we are at the side of a river!
In the 3 years we have had the Paddocks we have only flooded twice. However I wanted to prevent it happening again so decided to try and route some of the water away by digging a trench to divert any excess water to our pond.
This resulted in a very sore shoulder!
I also invested in these flood barriers and some garage door seal which I put in front of the bottom of the stable doors.
UPDATE 2 January 2024 – The rain has been that relentless no amount of these would keep the water out we had 6. Just mother nature at the moment so stables flooded and so grateful for the round pen for the horses as it is the only dry place for them.
